Linda Joan Sanders

Linda was born on November 7, 1948, to Leon E. and Joan B. Sanders. She was an only child who never married, but had a life full of experiences, travel, lifelong friends and faith. As an adult, Linda completely devoted her life to caring for her parents who both passed in 2008, only months apart at ages 88 & 89. Linda enjoyed fine dining and was a log time member at The Club where she frequented with many friends & family. She also was a charter member at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church where she requested to have her cremains spread in the same location as her parents, who she dearly loved.

Survivors include 3 cousins. Gary Foster of Mobile, AL Karen Wells of Saraland, AL and Sue Parnell of Theodore, AL.

Services will be held on October 8, 2024, at Ridout's Valley Chapel located at 1800 Oxmoor Rd, Homewood, AL 35209. Visitation and refreshments from 12p to 1p. Memorial service from 1p to 2p.

Casting ceremony of cremains will be at 2:30p at Vestavia Hills Baptist Church, 2600 Vestavia Dr, Birmingham, AL 35216.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Vestavia Hills Baptist Church.
