Jude Tombrello, 85, was a man of great faith, who lived a life of love. He was devoted to God and family and was a loving father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. Jude was a proud veteran of the US military. After his father's passing, Jude returned home from the service to help his mother raise his seven siblings. Shortly thereafter, Jude married his wife, Claudia, of fifty-eight years in 1961 and together raised three children. Jude started his own business, SouthEastern Jack, and worked there for thirty-seven years until his retirement. He was a devoted Catholic and was a member of Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church where he served as Sacristan. On Wednesday, July 1, 2020, Jude passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife, children and grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Sadie Tombrello, son Jay Tombrello, and brothers Anthony, P.J., Joe, Carl and Pat Tombrello. He is survived by his wife, Claudia Tombrello, children Paul (Margie) Tombrello, Carolyn (Frank) Romano and, brother Johnny (Mary Catherine) Tombrello, sister Mary Elizabeth (Charles) Ardovino, sister's in-law Frances Tombrello and Connie Tombrello, grandchildren Robby (Katie) Tombrello , Ashley (Tucker) Park, Frankie Romano, Nicholas Romano, John Michael Romano and CJ Romano and great granddaughter, Addison Tombrello. Funeral Services are Friday, July 3 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church in Homewood. Rosary begins at 8:30 am, visitation will be from 9 am -11 am and Mass will be at 11 am with Burial at Elmwood Cemetery. The Reverend Monsignor Martin Muller will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with other priests and deacons of the diocese. His grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
