Ila Mae Chandler

Ila Mae Chandler went to be with Lord on Sunday, February 9, 2014. She was a lifelong resident of New Merkle (Cahaba Heights), Alabama and a member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Mae was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Dale Chandler and her brother James Richard Brasher. She is survived by her beloved son Larry Dale Chandler (Kelley), her grandchildren Chelsea Roberts (David), Chase Chandler (Mackenzie), Zachary Chandler (Lauren). Gann as she was affectingly known is also survived by great grandchildren: Charlotte Anne Roberts, Chandler Roberts and Avery Mae Chandler; her dear brother Roy Edward Brasher (Patricia), several nieces and nephews and friends. Gann, we are grateful for all you taught us and the love you gave.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 12 noon until 1:30p.m.at Ridout’s Valley Chapel in Homewood. A graveside service for the family will be held at Alabama National Cemetery in Montevallo.
