She is survived by three children, Suzanne Luker (Jim) of Homewood, Sandra Hassett (Mark) of Hoover and Scott Flurry (Stacey) of Hoover. Beryl lived a life full of love and family. Beryl was born in Everett, MA where she lived and graduated from Everett High School. She met R.C.in February of 1960 and they were married later that year. They were inseparable until his passing. In 1969, they moved to Homewood, where they resided until death. They were devoted members of Dawson Memorial Baptist Church and later Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Beryl’s passion for family and children extended well beyond her own. She spent every possible moment in the company of children and worked at Samford day care into her 70’s. She has too many surrogate children and grand children to name here and she loved them all. Her surviving family, although saddened by her passing, is comforted knowing that she and R.C. are together once again.
