He was a proud graduate of the 1952 graduating class of Coral Gables High School. Out of his deep love for our country, he enthusiastically joined in the US Marines Corps following his graduation. Bravely he served in both the Korean and Vietnam wars. Upon his discharge, he joined the Reserves and later enrolled in Florida International University to pursue his interests in Botany and Anthropology.
He truly loved and valued family, friendship and our country. Simply hearing the National Anthem would bring tears to his eyes. His service to our country extended into his retirement through his active participation in the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Post 10068. He was a proud Life Member of the Military Order of the COOTIE, accepting his fellow “Lightning Bugs” as his other brothers. He also had a love for cats and considered his pets “companions.”
Thomas is lovingly survived by his daughter Kimberly Tilden Beltran and grandson Thomas Javier Beltran. He is also survived by his sister Jean Bradfisch and brother Robert Tilden.
