The funeral service will be held at 11 AM, July 23rd, 2022, at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Pastor Arthur Connor of Metropolitan Baptist Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held at 4 PM-8 PM, July 22nd, 2022, at Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home and at 10 AM-11 AM, July 23rd, 2022, at Metropolitan Baptist Church. Burial will follow the funeral at 12.30 PM. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Fred Hunter’s Funeral Home.
Sarah was born in Port Antonio, Portland, Jamaica W.I. on November 27th, 1932. She graduated from Port Antonio Upper School and continued on to receive a certificate from White’s Commercial College.
Sarah last worked as a manager for North American Phillips Federal Credit Union, New York for over five years . She enjoyed singing, reading, and crocheting. She was also actively involved in the Seniors’ Group at her church.
Sarah is survived by daughter Dr. Dawn P. Miller (Pat-Miami, Florida), niece Barbara Davis (nee Bartlett-Toronto, Canada), nephew William Bartlett(“Tupe”-Brooklyn, NY), and other family and friends.
Sarah is preceded in death by mother-Emily Perry, father- James Thompson, sister-Clementina Spencer (nee Thompson), nieces Judith Haig (nee-Bartlett) and Sylvia Johnson (nee-Hamilton).
