Born in Brooklyn, New York on July 28, 1945, thebeloved daughter of Anna and Jeremiah Young, and thesister of Charles and William Young.
Kathy was retired from the banking industry and was an active member of the Women of the Moose, an organization founded in 1913, with over 400,000 women in 1,600 chapters throughout all 50 states, and into Canada. Along with other units of Moose International, the Women of the Moose support the operation of Mooseheart Child City & School, a 1,000-acre community for children and teens in need, located outside of Chicago; and Moosehaven, a 70-acre retirement community for members, located near Jacksonville, FL.
She was preceded in death by her spouse James Francis Knoeller on February 18, 1999 who was also an active member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. And it was through her continued affiliation with the Moose that she met Thomas Brown and fell in love. She shared with us on many occasions how blessed she felt that he came into her life; she thought she would be alone after her husband passed away at the early age of 56. Tom andKathy have shared the last 8+ years together and traveled like she never had before, they shared everything, there was not a day that went by they werent together, from walks on the beach, roads trips to just explore the sights, to even the grocery store. They wereinseparable, so much so that she told him on many anoccasion that she never knew a man that wanted to go shopping; she would laugh and say she couldnt believe he wanted to do these things with her. He was her rock through her toughest battles with health issues these last 3 years and our family treasures him for the unconditionallove, joy, and comfort he provided her. Tom is an integral part of our family and we are blessed that he will continue to be so.
While death leaves heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal we will all continue to honor her memorytogether.
Survived by her children, Steven James Knoeller, Kathleen Ann Davis and her husband Andrew, James Francis Knoeller, Jr. and his wife Yanira, and Maryann Harper.
Also survived by 6 loving grandchildren, Rachelle Cliche, Timothy, Gabriella, and Andrew Knoeller, Tyler and Brandon Harper.

When I am gone,
Release me, let me go
I have so many things to see and do.
You mustnt tie yourself to me with tears;
Be happy we had so many years.
I give you my love,
You can only guess how
much you gave to me in happiness.
I thank you for the loveYou have shown me;
But now its time I travel alone.
So grieve a while for me,
If grieve you must.
Then let your grief be comforted by trust.
Its only for a while that we must part,
So bless the memories within your heart.
I wont be far away for life goes on.
So if you need me,
Call me and I will be near.
And if you listen with your heart,
Youll hear
All my love around you,
Soft and clear.
And when you must come this way along,
Ill greet you with a Smile,
And Welcome Home.
