On Thursday, August 18, Michael L. Mackey, a beloved husband, passed away. He was seventy-four. Born to William and Mary Mackey, Mike went to the Art Institute of Chicago for a brief period of time. Then, he felt called to go in another direction. He decided to move to Tusla, Oklahoma, where he met Kathryn, his beloved wife. They were together for 36 years.
Mike was passionate about his beliefs and worked hard for his family. He loved learning more about Messianic Judaism through Simchat Torah. Mike also loved traveling around Michigan, fishing, learning about healthy living, watching movies and sports, and taking in sunsets at the beach. He is survived by his wife and three children. The ceremony will be at Fort Custer National Cemetery in Augusta, MI, at 1:30 p.m. on Monday August 22nd. The family is asking that donations to Simchat Torah be made in lieu of flowers.
