Fern Mabel Jepma

On Sunday, October 13, 2024, Fern Jepma (Wentzel) was received into heaven to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was also welcomed by her husband, Henry, and 6 of her 12 siblings; Joseph Wentzel, Robert Wentzel, Berten (Frances) Wentzel, Carlton (Jeanne) Wentzel, Geneive (Bernie) Johnson, and Rollene (Burton) Walters. She is survived by: her other siblings, Vivian Johnson, Henry (Iola) Wentzel, Clara Ten Hagen, Kenneth Wentzel, Wanda (Herschel) Vander Kamp, and Florence Brinkhuis.

Fern married Henry Jepma on June 6, 1947. While working on their blueberry farm in West Olive, they were blessed with 5 children: Mary (Oren) Vallejo, Susan (Wayne) Coppersmith, Bonnie (Tom) Jones, Henry (Cindy) Jepma, and Grace (Brian) Bosscher. They were also blessed with 13 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Henry and Fern were dedicated charter member of the Ventura Baptist Church. Fern was very active in the church and helped her family know and serve the Lord. Her hospitality blessed many, especially the missionary families who frequented their home. By example she taught others to work hard for the Lord at whatever you do. Her amazing 99 years of life on this Earth will be treasured by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation for Fern will be held Saturday, October 19, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Lakeshore Memorial, 11939 James St, Holland, Michigan 49424, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 AM.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Michigan or Ventura Baptist Church.
