June Elaine Meyer

June Elaine (Holder) Meyer, 84 of Napoleon, passed away Wednesday March 11, 2015 at Vancrest Nursing Home. Born August 28, 1930 in Toledo to Harley and Gladys Holder. United in marriage on July 22, 1950 to the late Elwood Meyer.

Loving mother to her children; Sherrie (Lynn) Geitgey, Connie (Dave) Schuette and Robert (Judith) Meyer. Grandmother to Jason Geitgey, Jonathon Geitgey, Phillip Geitgey, Kelly Pedroza and Michael Schuette. Also survived by 8 great grandchildren and her two sisters Jean Fork and Ruth McKibbin.

Preceeded in death by her husband Elwood Meyer, parents Harley and Gladys Holder and son Darrel Meyer.

June worked at Vancrest Nursing Home for 10 years as a nurses’ aide. She was a former member of St. Stephen Lutheran Church, Hamler, Ohio and also a former Sunday school teacher. She worked on the farm with her son Robert for many years, was an antique collector and an avid reader. She loved teaching people how to crochet.

Visitation for June will be held at Snyder Funeral Home, 209 N. Wilhelm St. Holgate Ohio on Friday March 13, 2015 from 3 p.m until 8 p.m. Funeral Services in her honor will be on Saturday March 14, 2015 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church 710 Joe E. Brown Avenue, Holgate Ohio starting at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Greg Olsen officiating. She will be laid to rest at Toledo Memorial Park. The family requests donations be made to The American Heart Association.
