Bonnie was born in Napoleon on March 24, 1928, the daughter of Gregory and Irene (Weisbecker) Schwab. Bonnie was raised in Leipsic and graduated from Leipsic High School in 1946. On January 28, 1947 she married her best friend and the love of her life Eugene Kuhlman, who preceded her in death on May 16, 1999.
Bonnie and Gene were known for their talent on the dance floor. They sang together often. Bonnie, having her own dance studio taught tap, ballet, ballroom and modern dance for many years in Leipsic, Holgate and Deshler. She loved teaching her students as much as they loved her. Bonnie also drove buses for Holgate School for ten years. She always fondly remembered everyone that rode on her bus as they remembered her. Bonnie was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the Altar Rosary Society of Holgate Ohio. She was also a lifelong member of V.F.W Post # 8847, Ladies Auxiliary of New Bavaria, Ohio.
Surviving are eight children. Two Daughters: Karen (Russ) Nippert, Dublin OH, Chris (Joe) Ricica, Defiance OH. Six sons: Mike (Linda) Kuhlman, Findlay OH, John (Annette) Kuhlman, Defiance OH, Greg (Josie) Kuhlman, Napoleon OH, Tom (Kelly) Kuhlman, Holgate OH, James (Tammy) Kuhlman, Defiance OH , and Tony (Beth) Kuhlman, Napoleon OH. Twenty grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren, two sisters, Pat Meyer, Leipsic OH, Betty Gabringer, Dayton OH, and one brother John Schwab of Leipsic OH.
She was preceded in death by her parents: Gregory and Irene (Weisbecker) Schwab, beloved husband Gene, son Gregory Eugene and granddaughter Brooke Rothman, brother-in-laws Melvin Meyer and Paul Gabringer.
Visitation will be held from 2pm to 8pm on Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Snyder Funeral Home in Holgate, Ohio with a Rosary at 7 p.m. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 1-1:45 pm at Snyder Funeral Home. Funeral Mass to follow at 2pm at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 316 Chicago Ave. Holgate, Ohio. Father Robert Kill will officiate.
