She was born November 21, 1927 in Trickem, GA to the late Alfred & Nellie Gravett.
Wilma was a life-long resident of the Tyner area. A dedicated Christian and long-standing member of Harmony Baptist Church, Mrs. Greene was dedicated to helping in any capacity she could, be it cooking a meal or lifting others up in prayer. In her free time, you could find her baking delicious cakes and desserts with her top-secret icing recipe. A beautician by trade Wilma owned and operated 3 local hair salons before retiring to spend time with friends and loved ones.
She was preceded in death by her husband James W Greene Sr.
Survivors include her daughters Linda J. Record and Marcia E. Greene and son James W Greene Jr.; grandchildren Phillip C Hill, James (Mandy) Greene; Warren (Bonnie) Greene; Dekoda (Leann) Greene and several loving great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday November 2, 2022, at 1:00 PM in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Chaplin Christi Songer officiating. Burial services will follow.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
