Teresa Ann Sylvester

She is preceded in death by her father, Billy Berlin Sylvester, grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Vencenzo Silvestro, Robert Agee, and Mary Lou Johnson.

She is survived by her mother, Patsy Lou Sylvester of Chattanooga, TN and the love of her life, her fiancé, John Black of Greenville, SC. A sister, Carol Sylvester Gay (Melvin) Birmingham, AL, a brother, Roger Sylvester (Mikki), Chattanooga, TN. The light of her life, her nephews Tyler Gay (Kathryn), Michael Gay (Anne), great niece’s Taylor Grace Gay, and Madelyn Reece Gay, all of Birmingham, AL.

Bonus daughter’s Logan Camp (Jay), Carsen Knight (Rob) and bonus son, John Robert Black Jr. (Margo) and five grandchildren, William Camp, Jack Camp, Logan Camp, Mila Black and Ella Black all of Greenville, SC. Niece’s Riley Daniels, Nashville, TN and Madi Daniels & Lily Daniels both of Chattanooga, TN.

A stepson Drew Yates, Atlanta, GA. Goddaughter Sydney Adcox, of Chattanooga, TN. And Godson Sterling Hartrich, of Atlanta, GA.

Teresa was a graduate of Hixson High School. She earned her B.S. degree from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. Teresa was one of the top sales leaders with TAG Heuer for 25 years and more recently, a Wholesale Sales Executive at Forevermark at De Beers.

Family ties were most important to Teresa. She loved spending time with her family and enjoyed many vacations with them. She always looked forward to her annual “Chattanooga Girls” beach trips.

Teresa was an animal lover who is now reunited with her precious Cecil, a meticulous gardener, a sports enthusiast, and she loved Tennessee Football.

Funeral services will be conducted from the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at 3:00 PM with Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. Interment will follow at Hamilton Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until service time.

Pallbearers will be Tyler Gay, Michael Gay, John Robert Black, Jr., Jay Camp, Rob Knight and Bob Adcox.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your local animal humane society, or you can plant a tree in Teresa’s honor.
