Sharon was born on September 11, 1945, in Beaumont, TX. She was a graduate of Sam Houston High School and Central Virginia Community College. She met her husband Fred, in Houston and after their marriage in 1965 moved all over the U.S. with Fred’s career, living in PA, MD, VA, and Pensacola, FL, prior to settling in Hixson, TN. She was a lifetime and active member of Beta Sigma Phi. She enjoyed being a part of the local chapters in all the cities she lived in. Sharon had a successful career as a Medical Abstractor, which allowed her to travel the world auditing Military Hospitals. She was a member of Stuart Heights Baptist Church and loved her Sunday School Class, “Joy.” She loved her family, had a kind and loving heart, a wicked sense of humor, and was always there for us.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Charles Frederick Davis, and her daughter, Melanie Suzanne Davis Chitty. She is survived by her sister, Suzanne Martin, brother Ed Martin (Lanette) both of Houston, TX; sister-in-law Sandra Moulton (Bob) of Gibsonville, NC; her son, Mark Davis (Alyssa) of Atlanta, GA; son-in-law, Randy Chitty of Cleveland, TN; beloved grandsons Watts Davis of Atlanta, GA and Cullen Fewell of Jay, FL.
A visitation for Sharon will be held Saturday, November 16, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343. The funeral service will be Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 11:00 AM,in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens, 5351 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stuart Heights Baptist Church.
