Shannon Fay Waller, 87, of Chattanooga died Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at her home. She was born November 10, 1935 in Ridge Grove, Alabama to the late Douglas and Mary Helen Wooddy. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Waller; sister, Elizabeth (Buddy) Griffin; brother, Douglas (Patsy) Wooddy.
She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and aunt. She loved to cook Sunday dinner (just ask her son-in-law).
Survivors include her children, James (Daisy) Gilmore, Karen Gilmore, Charles Gilmore, and Tiffany (Aaron) Parker; brother, Charles (Jerri) Wooddy; grandchildren, Victoria, Salamon, Gabrielle, and Austin; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home Monday, April 10 from 10-11:30. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 at the North Chapel. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
