Richard John Prichard

Richard was born in Uvalde, Texas, to John and Mary Prichard in 1934. The family moved to Bluffton, Indiana, and later to Lima, Ohio. Richard was married to Martha Lucchesi in 1955 and had five children. He moved his family to Hixson, in 1966. He and Martha loved vacationing in Tennessee so when the opportunity came he relocated to Tennessee. After Martha passed away in 1981, Richard then met and married Lona Ann Russell until his death.

Richard retired from the textile industry (Singer Cobble and Tuftco) after approximately 40 years as a design engineer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Mary; a sister, Imogene Prichard, brother, Donald Prichard, his daughter, Linda Willis and grandson, John Williford.

Richard is survived by his wife of 39 years, Lona Harris Russell Prichard; brother, Willis Prichard, children, Richard Prichard, II (Pam), Susan Shirk (Steve), Rita Livezey (Bill), Patrick Prichard (Millie Ann), and stepdaughter, Dora Russell; 11 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.

The family respectfully request that "social distancing", and all CDC measures be followed at the funeral home and cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 pm till 2:00 pm on Tuesday, January 11, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Graveside services will follow at 2 pm on Tuesday at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
