She was born in DeKalb County, Alabama and was a 1949 graduate of Sylvania High School. Faye was a longtime resident of the Chattanooga area. She was the beloved manager for the past 20 years at Pinewood Village Apartments. Faye was a member of Wesley Chapel Methodist Church in Fort Payne, Alabama.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Marion and Rose Lee Goza and a brother, Ted Goza.
Faye is survived by her loving husband of 62 years A. R. Bentley; children, Ricky (wife, Carol) Bentley and Jan Bentley Brotherton; four grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; sister, Barbara (husband, Harold) Stancil; and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Parkridge Hospital for the care and love given to Mrs. Bentley.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, December 7 and 10 to 11:30 on Saturday at the North Chapel.
Services for Faye will be held at 11:30 am on Saturday at the North Chapel with Reverend Michael Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
