He was born August 18, 1947 in Chattanooga to the late Kenner & Eunice Walker.
Mr. Walker was a United States Navy Vietnam Veteran with a rank of GMG3 and was a lifetime member of the VFW and was a member of the Swiftboat Association. He was also a member of the Local #72 Plumbers & Steamfitters Union in Atlanta. He was retired from the U.S. Postal service.
He was a member of Sequoyah Baptist Tabernacle and the Golden Agers.
His brother-in-law Mike Young preceded him in death.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Glenda Walker; sisters, Marlene (Jim) Holdbrooks of East Brainerd; Kathy Young of Soddy Daisy; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 9:00 a.m. in the North Chapel with Rev. David Stancil officiating. Burial will follow at Chattanooga National Cemetery with full military honors.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 2-5 p.m. at the funeral home.
