She was a longtime a resident of the Chattanooga area. She retired from Finley’s Restaurant in Reading, PA. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star and a Gray Lady Volunteer with Memorial Hospital.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Sudie Manning Levi; siblings, James Manning and Velma Abney.
Martha is survived by her husband of 51 years Richard “Dick” Ezell; children, Priscilla Powers Miller and husband Howard and Bill “Billy” Powers, Jr.; grandchildren, Chris (Kenna), Phil (Krystle), Joshua, Heather and Emily; 13 great grandchildren; sister, Beddie Young and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, January 6, and 2 to 3 pm on Thursday at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Martha’s life will follow at 3 pm on Thursday at the funeral home chapel with Reverend Michael Manning and Reverend Virgil Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
