Margaret "Penny" G. Manning

Born Aug. 9th, 1925 to the late Rev. James Madison & Donna M. Gibbs.

Penny is survived by her sons William Greg Manning and Rod Manning, daughter-in-laws Jodie Adams Manning, Debra Brock Manning, nephew Tom Keith (who was like a son to her) and his wife Ann Keith, several nieces, two grandchildren Joshua and Sarah (Manning) Casey married to David Casey, and three great grandsons Kallon, Kamrin and Avery. She was preceded in death by her husband William “Bill” Manning.

Penny was well loved and cared for by Greg and Jodie Manning with whom she lived during the past year two years. Her family is so appreciative for the wonderful care and services provided by the exceptional staff at PACE and Alexian Brothers. Penny was a member of One Accord Community Church of Red Bank, where she had many dear friends, specifically, Judy Hill who often provided Penny with transportation to church services and events. She was a wonderful mother, wife and friend. She enjoyed cooking, traveling, being outdoors and sharing her faith and love of Christ with everyone she met. Penny’s generous spirit and positive disposition will be missed.

The burial service will be Friday, February 19th, promptly at 1:30pm at the National Cemetery. There will be a reception following the service and burial at O’Charleys Restaurant, 5031 Hixson Pike, starting at 4:15pm.
