She lived all her life in the Chattanooga area, and attended Falling Water Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
Lula was preceded in death by her parents, Isaiah and Alice Eversole; husband, Robert W. Lewis; sons, Robert W.”Bob” Lewis, Jr. and David Alan Lewis; sisters, Viola Burton, Roxanne Cook, Pearl Garner; daughter-in-law, Nancy Vandergriff Lewis.
Lula is survived by her daughter, Carol (Larry) Craig of Ooltewah; eight grandchildren who fondly called her “Nana”, Kimberly (Tim) Baxter, Shari (Allen) Neubert, Sharon (Chuck) Hood, LuAnne (Greg) O’Neal, Pamela Alexander, David (Lacey) Lewis, Aaron Lewis and David Alan Lewis, II; fourteen great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and daughter-in-law, Sandra Lewis.
There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
A graveside service will be held at 1 pm at on Friday, January 24, at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Reverend Bill Harvey officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or to your favorite charity.
Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
