Kendall was a lion of a man who loved Jesus, and his family, especially his grandsons. He was a hardworking man who came from humble beginnings to raise a strong family and build a successful business. He was a natural teacher; teaching life lessons, and teaching others to follow Christ; he had a plan and a path. Kendall was always moving forward. He was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church. He enjoyed hunting, golfing, fishing and Alabama Football with his family and friends.
He survived by his childhood sweetheart and wife of 46 and a half years, Shelia Ray; children, Mandi (Dan) Sandoval, Hannah Ray, and Kendall Lee (Leah) Ray, Jr; grandchildren, Nate Sandoval, Owen Sandoval, and Elijah Jackson Ray; his step father, Robert “Papa” Tonnemacher; sisters, Debbie Hodge, Connie Ray, Regina Gray, and Denise Tonnemacher.
Funeral services will be 2:00 Saturday, May 8 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Pastor Eric Mullinax officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
