Born on September 27, 1956 in Chattanooga, Eddie is survived by his parents, Jim and Nancy Crane; sisters, Darline (Tim) McGinnis and Angie (Brian) Lowery, niece and nephews, Austin (Abigail) Moore, Ryan Moore, Julie (Bradley) Nelson and TC Tolbert (Rosie Perera), and beloved extended family Jewell Talley and Ricky Smith.
Eddie was preceded in death by his partner, Della Farrow.
Eddie graduated from Red Bank High School in 1975 and worked as a welder at several local manufacturing plants. He was a life-long member of North Chattanooga Church of God. Affectionately known as “Fat Daddy”, he loved telling stories and jokes at family dinners and those will be greatly missed.
He also enjoyed fishing, riding motorcycles, and spending time with family and friends.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm until 3 pm on Wednesday, June 15, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.
A Celebration of Eddie’s life will follow at 3 pm on Wednesday, at the North Chapel with Reverend Jerry Yother officiating. Burial will be in Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Ken Kelly, Tim McGinnis, Austin Moore, Ryan Moore, Ricky Smith and Tony Williams serving as pallbearers.
