Eleanor was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and a 1957 graduate of Chattanooga High School. She was of the Presbyterian faith. Eleanor was a member of the CYC for over 52 years where she was awarded the Carroll B. Wells service award for her many years of service. Eleanor enjoyed cooking and entertaining for friends and family, boating through all the US waterways, and walking her dogs she loved throughout her life.
Eleanor was an incredibly devoted wife, mother, sister and grandmother.
She never missed an occasion to support her family in all their endeavors.
She was always smiling and laughing, but would also be there for a shoulder to cry on.
Eleanor was one of the kindest and gentlest souls you could know.
Eleanor is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Terry Keith; daughter, Cynthia Keith Mitchell; son, Gregg (Kris) Keith; grandchildren, Brindley (Matt) Wheeler, Keith (Claire) Mitchell, Chad (Shannon) Peterson and Jack Peterson; one great granddaughter, Riley Peterson; sister, Jean McCord; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive family and friends from 3 to 4 pm on Sunday, January 30, at the CYC
Private memorial services will be announced at a later time.
