Betty Lou Campbell, 81, of Hixson passed away October 2, 2017. She was born on March 14, 1936 in Grant, Alabama where she met and married her husband of sixty-one years, Tracy Leon Campbell. She retired from Dupont after 20+ years in 1985. Since retiring she enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii and the beach, spending time with her family and loving her poodles. She is preceded in death by her parents, Grace and Lester Selvage; sister, Lois Stephens, husband, Tracy Campbell and son, Michael Campbell. She is survived by her daughter-in-law, Stella Campbell; granddaughter, Valerie Campbell; sister, Brenda Henson; aunt, Virginia Black; nephews, Kenny and Donny Walls; nieces, Jan Orr and Angie Rowan. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Michael Campbell Endowment Fund at Red Bank United Methodist Church, 3800 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, TN 37415. A visitation will be held on Friday, October 6, 2017 from 10 am to 12 pm at Chattanooga Funeral Home, North Chapel. A graveside service will follow on Friday, October 6, 2017 at 12 pm at Hamilton Memorial Gardens with Rev. Don Smith. Arrangements are held by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
