Benjamin Franklin “Frank” Bailey, Jr., 77, went home to be with the Lord, Thursday, August 3, 2017 at his home. He was born April 30, 1940 in Chattanooga to the late Frank and Bessie Bailey. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Katherine Reese, Jean Whitton, and Lena Mae Poe.
He was a graduate of Chattanooga High School. He was a member of the Red Bank Baptist Church. Mr. Bailey retired from CSX in 2000 after 33 years of service.
Mr. Bailey loved his family and he also loved his many wonderful friends. He was a member of the Do Nuttin Car Club for many years and enjoyed antique cars and car shows.
Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Judy R. Bailey; children, Sherry Paty and her husband, Matthew Fearing, Vicki Gramig and her husband, Bill, and Lynn Younce and his wife Karen; grandchildren, Zachary Paty, Rachel Paty, Will Gramig, and Caroline Gramig; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-8 Sunday, August 6 and from 12-3 Monday, August 7.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 Monday, August 7 at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home with Dr. Fred Steelman officiating. Interment will follow in Chattanooga Memorial Park.
