Mrs. Fox was born May 1, 1930, in Dallas, Texas, to Franklin Weaver Floyd and Emma Mae Summer Floyd.
Mrs. Fox attended Mississippi State College for Women for two years and then attended The University of Chattanooga. Ann was a member of the Pi Beta Phi sorority and graduated from the University of Chattanooga in 1952 with a BS in Medical Technology. After graduation, she worked at Baroness Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga in the Pathology Laboratory on and off for 30 years.
She was predeceased by her daughter Amy Floyd Holland Romeo, her husband Dr. Lawrence Eugene Fox, and her brother Franklin Weaver Floyd, Jr.
She is survived by her grandchildren Timothy Boyd Romeo and Katherine Ann Romeo. She is also survived by her stepdaughter Stephanie Richter (Eric) and their daughters Georgia Ann Richter and Mary Alice Richter (Rodrigo Avendano). She is also survived by another stepdaughter, Lydia Fox (Jerry Hoolahan) and her daughters Katherine Cooper, Christine Cooper, and Rebecca Cooper Murphy (Duncan). She is also survived by the Floyd family of Concord, Massachusetts.
Ann enjoyed reading and gardening. She belonged to The Garden Club of Signal Mountain and was a long-time member of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church on Glenwood Drive in Chattanooga.
Visitation will be at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church hall at 11 am on Thursday, December 28, followed by a Trisagion and funeral service in the church at 12 noon. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to her church in her memory.
