Susan Ann Sherman

Sue was born on June 24th, 1944, in Detroit, Michigan. Susan attended Northern Michigan University and worked for the United Postal Service as a postal carrier for many years.

Susan was the beloved wife of Holly and loving mother of Michael (Jill) Sherman and the late Jean Berry. She is also survived by her step-children: Bill (Janice) Sherman, Tina Sherman, Stacey (Randy) Short, and Jenny (Rich) Frescura, and son-in-law, George Berry. Susan was the proud grandmother of Morgan, Amber, Everett, and great grandson, Jayce Berry. In addition to her husband, children, and grandchildren, she is survived by siblings: Walt "Buzz" (the late Rita) Richardson and Janet Dominiak, Marti (Roy) Flores, Jim (Sandy) Richardson, Mary Beth (the late Chuck) Nichol, Mark Richardson, Bill (Maureen) Richardson, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by daughter Jean, parents, Harold and Mary Richardson, and brothers John and Tom Richardson.

Susan always had a smile on her face and was one of the kindest people. She loved to capture special moments of her family, often being the one behind the camera instead of in front of it. She loved to craft, especially crocheting and knitting special gifts for her loved ones. She adored animals, especially her cat, Tabby. She was an avid reader-she would read several novels a month. Above all, she loved to spend time, whether in person or online, visiting with her family and friends. She was a loving and caring woman and will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, March 5, 2019, at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 2-8 pm.
