Peggy Joyce Looney

Born in Pontiac on February 27, 1955, Peggy brought light and laughter to the lives she touched.

For 37 and a half cherished years, Peggy shared her life with her beloved partner Chuck Sherwood. Together, they built a bond of love and companionship that was a cornerstone of Peggy's life.

Peggy was known for her zest for life and her love of simple pleasures. She found joy in playing bingo, engaging in online uno matches, and testing her luck at the casino, particularly enjoying her time spent playing video poker.

But above all, Peggy's heart belonged to her family. She was a devoted mother to her daughter Donna and a doting grandmother to her grandchildren. Peggy's generosity knew no bounds, and she poured her love and support into every moment spent with her family.

Honesty was a core value for Peggy; she was known for her candid nature and her unwavering desire for the best for her loved ones. Her humor and wit was infectious.

Peggy is preceded in death by her mother, Marcella Lester, and siblings Marcedon Lester, Gordon "Buck" Lester, Doris Lester Payne, and Rex Lester. She is survived by her life partner Chuck Sherwood; daughter Donna (Ryan Gouine) Looney; grandchildren Jason Jr. (Alexandra), Lyric (Thomas), Mikailah, Timothy, Anna, Eleora, Gracie, and Hunter; great-granddaughter Scarlet; and brothers Stan Lester and David Lester.

Peggy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, laughter, and generosity will live on in the hearts of her family and loved ones forever.
