Nancy Lynn Homeister, age 57, of White Lake, Michigan passed away on October 11, 2024. She was born on October 13, 1966 to John and Charlotte Homeister in Flint, Michigan. They preceded her in death. Nancy received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of Michigan and went on to receive her Master's Degree from the University of Sydney. She worked 32 years with Ford Motor Company, traveling the world negotiating fuel economies, even testifying to the US Senate on fuel standards. She retired in 2020 to take on the care of our mother.
Nancy was an adventurous soul. She loved to visit new places and took our mother on wonderful trips. Including a trip to Alaska in the winter where they were both dumped during a dog sled ride! She lived in England for three years and Australia for a year. Nancy also took after her mother in caring for all living creatures, from dogs and cats, to bats and snapping turtles! She loved her dog "pack", Eve, Ti, Annie and Jeb. In her younger years she was an avid horseback rider enjoying Tiffany and then Sophie.
The greatest thing about Nancy, was her love for her savior, Christ Jesus. When diagnosed with cancer, she had no fear. She shared that the Lord would lead the way and she felt lead to share her faith and story to lead others to Jesus.
She was the loving sister of John (Deborah) Homeister, Ruth (Tom) Miele and Elaine Homeister; proud aunt of Michael, Jamie Lynn, Peter, Angela, Nicole and Ryan. She was also survived by a multiple of great grand nephews and nieces.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 19, 2024 at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home, 3295 East Highland Rd., Highland, MI 48356. Visitation will be on Friday, October 18, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service. Burial will be in White Lake Cemetery.
