Irene I. Burton, age 97, born on July 14, 1917 in Collingwood, Ontario. Irene moved to Michigan at the age of 2. Irene passed away on October 21, 2014 in Bradenton, Florida, formally of Royal Oak, Michigan. Beloved wife of the late Dave Burton. Loving mother of Carol Stadler and Terry Hancock. Cherished grandmother of 5 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Irene will be missed by many family and friends. Irene retired from Michigan Bell in 1978 after 32 years of service. She enjoyed her retirement with her family and friends. Visitation will be held on Monday October 27, 2014 from 2:00 – 8:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday October 28, 2014, at 11:00 am, (gathering at 10:00 am), at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black and Son Funeral Home 3295 East Highland Road Highland, Michigan 48356.
