Elmer R. Abrahan, age 95, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Margaret. Loving step-father of Clinton (Janice) Howard and Dayton (Carmen) Howard. Proud grandfather of 5 and great-grandfather of 3. Dear brother of Linda Kesterson. Elmer was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving in WWII, where he was apart of The Invasion of Normandy. Elmer retired as a mechanic for the city of Detroit. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 22, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (VFW Service at 7:00 p.m.) at the Highland Chapel of the Elton Black & Son Funeral Home, 3295 E. Highland Rd. Highland. Funeral Visitation will be held Friday, August 23, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. also at the Funeral Home. Burial at Highland Cemetery.
