Michael B. Peters, age 64, of Highland, IN passed away Wednesday, June 10, 2015. He is survived by his five brothers: Aloysius (Del) Peters of Minnesota, Paul (Ann) Peters of Crown Point, IN, Henry (Lil) Peters of Lowell, IN, Lawrence (Debbie) Peters of Hammond, IN and Patrick (late Dr. Mary Ellen Masleid) Peters of Merrillville, IN; three sisters: Marie (Bill) Gruszka of Hammond, IN, Dorothy (late Charles) Dybel of Munster, IN and Elizabeth (late Mike) Senetar of Highland, IN; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Peters was preceded in death by his parents: Herman and Elnora Peters; and three brothers: Joseph, Fritz and John Peters. A memorial service will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN with Rev. Keith Virus officiating. Cremation preceded the service. Friends are invited to meet with the family Saturday, June 13, 2015 from 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. (time of service) at Kuiper Funeral Home. Mr. Peters was a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was a loving brother and a special uncle to his many nieces and nephews.
