IN THE CARE OF
Kuiper Funeral Home
Martin Lopez Jr., age 28, of Highland, Indiana passed away on Sunday, December 26, 2021. Martin was born September 21, 1993 in Chicago, Illinois to Denise Gizynski and step-father Sergio Medina.
Martin’s favorite hobbies were fishing, playing his on his PC, and his RC cars. He loved spending time with his two daughters, Lylah and Aliyah. They were his world. Martin was always around for a good time with family; wrestling around with his niece and nephews was one of his favorites. He loved always being able to put things back together; adding new loud things in his trucks with his step dad. Martin looked up to stepdad as a great father figure to him. Martin and his step dad loved working on vehicles together and taking trips to the junkyard. Martin always knew he could count on his stepdad to help with anything he ever needed. Martin had such a big heart he can never tell anybody no, Him helping others made him happy, he loved going shopping with his mom for plants, flowers and fishing equipment. His number one woman in his life was his mother. The love he had for her was unconditional. He always enjoyed being able to help her with decorating the house, keeping up with the yard work, and stealing all of her snacks and candles. He always loved calling his mom asking if he can do his laundry knowing she would always just do it for him. He was definitely a mama‘s boy. Martin and his brother, Matt, always loved picking on their sister, Fina, consistently but the three of them together were an unbreakable bond. Martin always knew he could pick up the phone and talk about life with all of his siblings. His sister, Evelyna, was one of his favorite people to talk to and get life advice from. Some of his best times in life were hanging out with his cousins and friends, always reminiscing about all the good times they shared together growing up. You could call Martin for anything and he would always have it or knew somebody that did…Martin was a once in a lifetime person and will be missed tremendously!
Martin is survived by his mother Denise Gizynski; step-father Sergio Medina; his daughters: Lylah and Aliyah Lopez; his sisters: Josephine Lopez and Evelyna Resendez; his brother Matthew Lopez; his great grandmother Linda Frangella and his grandfather James Frangella; nephews: Markest Hunter, Jordan Lopez, Anthony Lopez, Matthew Lopez Jr., and Angel Lopez, his niece Juliana Lopez, and a host of other relatives & friends.
