Linda Camren Mann, age 79, of Schererville, Indiana passed away Wednesday, May 9, 2018. Her husband of more than 50 years, Lee B. Mann preceded her in death. She is survived by three daughters: Barbara Mann (Steve Hankel) of Champaign, Illinois; Elizabeth Madrigal (Richard) of Crown Point, Indiana; and Victoria Marcus (Mitch) of Greenwood, Indiana; four grandchildren: Margaret Hankel of Philadelphia Pennsylvania; Joseph Hankel of Ames, Iowa; Samantha Madrigal of Crown Point, Indiana; and Anna Marcus of Greenwood, Indiana; a sister and a brother: Ann Smelser (late Art) of Omaha, Nebraska and Alan Camren (Pam) of South Bend, Indiana and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Lee, she is preceded in death by her parents: Victor and Elizabeth Camren. Friends are invited to meet with the family Tuesday, May 15, 2018 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Road (two blocks south of Ridge Road) Highland, Indiana. A memorial service will be held Wednesday May 16, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 8727 Delaware, Highland, Indiana with Rev. Dr. Laura Reason officiating. There will be a time to visit with the family following the service. Mrs. Mann received her Bachelor’s Degree from Ball State Teachers College in 1960 and later received a Master’s Degree from Purdue University. She taught elementary and middle school music for over 20 years for the School City of Hammond. She was a member and Elder of First Presbyterian Church Highland. She directed and sang in the choir there for many years. Mrs. Mann was a long- time member of the Griffith Chapter of Tri Kappa and served as an officer. She was also a collegiate member of Alpha Omicron Pi.
