Irma "Peg" Jean McCauley

Irma Jean McCauley, age 93, of Griffith, Indiana passed away on Tuesday, March 28, 2023. Irma is survived by her sons Daniel (Cindy) McCauley (Highland, IN), Michael McCauley (Chesterton, IN),Timothy McCauley (Griffith, IN), Kevin (Jacqueline) McCauley (Naperville, IL); her daughters Linda (Robert) LaFayette (Griffith, IN), Mary Ann Swisher (Hillsboro, OH), Patricia Ann Leitzke (Hammond, IN). Cherished Grandmother to 8 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. and many many adoring nieces and nephews. Irma was preceded in death by her parents William and Fanelia Long, her nine siblings, her grandson Brandon, and her son in law Darrell Swisher. Born in New Washington, Indiana, Irma worked at Southern Bell (KY) and AT&T (Chicago) before settling down to raise her adoring family. She will be greatly missed by all. A funeral service will occur Monday, April 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM CST (1:00 PM EST) at Charlestown Cemetery, 522 Madison St, Charlestown, IN 47111.
