Obituary of Heather Lynn Stojakovich

IN THE CARE OF

Kuiper Funeral Home

Heather Lynn Stojakovich, age 18, of Hammond, IN was taken from this life suddenly on Sunday, March 21, 2021. Heather was born November 5, 2002 to her parents, Adam Stojakovich and Marissa Ford in Munster, IN. If there was ever a person who wanted to heal all the wrongs in the world, it was Heather Lynn. Even though Heather was enthusiastic and generous, it was sometimes difficult for her to boast about her accomplishments. Heather had strong personal convictions, making it hard for her to relinquish those ideals she held dearest to herself. Despite her outer strengths and beliefs, Heather sometimes struggled in her efforts to see the world as completely positive. Heather's life motto was always to hope for the best and work hard towards that end, but be prepared for some of life's disappointments. Her family will always remember that her favorite color was purple and that she really enjoyed listening to music and playing video games. She leaves behind her loving family made up of her Father, Adam (Dawn Rechlicz) Stojakovich; Mother, Marissa Ford; four Siblings, Brandon, Anna, Mason, Cole; Paternal grandparents, Steven (Kathy) Stojakovich; maternal grandmother, Joni Sanchez; four Uncles, Jeff Stojakovich, Eric (Connie) Stojakovich, "Jr." (Debbie) Ford, Jack (Jenny) Sanchez; eight cousins, Haily, Landon, Ethan, Alex, Trinity, Peyton, Jackie, Isabel; along with several Great Aunts and Great Uncles and many friends. A public visitation for Heather will be held Saturday, March 27, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd., Highland, IN 46322, followed by a celebration of life service beginning 6:00 PM.
