Dorothy Wells, age 92, of Hobart, Indiana passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2017. She is survived by her children, Jim (Lisa) Wells, Eugene (Daria) Wells, William Wells, Douglas (Cathy) Wells, Twala (Karl) Tarne, Beverly (Stephen) Cummings, and Grandson Robert Wells, Jr. who she raised like a child of her own. She was a proud Grandma of 14 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren, and an Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband; James Howard Wells, Sr., a son; Robert Wells, brothers; Guy, Herman, and Wilbur, sisters; Evelyn and Shirley, and a grandson; Layton McNerlin. Dorothy was a true caregiver for her children and those she loved, while also maintaining a full time waitressing job during her working years. Friends may visit with the family at Kuiper Funeral Home, 9039 Kleinman Rd., Highland, IN, on Saturday, May 6, 2017 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am, with a Funeral Service to immediately follow.
