Christopher Lee Gonzalez, AKA "Chubby", age 24, of Gary, Indiana passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2023. Chubby is the loving son to Sally Campbell and Luis Gonzalez Sr.; cherished brother to Norma Jean Gonzalez, Luis Gonzalez Jr., Steffon Gonzalez and Maria Alvarez; favorite uncle to Sophia, Mateo, Jaxson and Jayce Gonzalez. Beloved grandson Mary Campbell and the late Katarina and the late Arturo Gonzalez; great-grandson to the late Helen Motley; nephew to Christopher Campbell, John (Char) Campbell, Francisca Reyes, Arturo Gonzalez, Ruben Gonzalez, Ernesto Gonzalez, and Maria Gonzalez. Chubby was an avid fisherman, he especially loved fishing with his grandmother, Mary. He enjoyed swimming and being with family. He was the family class clown and enjoyed making people laugh and making people comfortable. To know him was to love him. Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2023 from 12:00 noon until 5:00 pm at Kuiper Funeral Home.
