William was a loving husband, father and friend to many. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served during World War II. He worked for over 40 years at Amos Hosiery Mills until retirement age. After 6 months he decided a life of leisure was not for him, so he took a job with Harris Covington and worked another 20 years, retiring at age 85.
William is survived by his daughter Pamela Bailey of Thomasville, NC; granddaughters Cheryl Cooke & spouse Quinton of Apex, NC and Kathy Bailey DeHart of High Point, NC; great grandchildren Jonathan Cooke, Emma DeHart, Anabelle DeHart and William DeHart; and brother Wayne Cole & wife Jane of High Point, NC.
William was preceded in death by his parents; sisters Betty Vernon and Lillian Andrews; and his wife Ina Mae Cole.
The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to the staff and doctors of Hospice of the Piedmont and Spring Arbor Assisted Living for their loving care and attention shown to Mr. Cole during his illness.

A memorial service for William’s life will be held on Saturday, June 22nd, 2019 at Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point at 2pm. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the memorial service. Burial services will follow at Floral Garden Park Cemetery.
