Opal Maie Frye

Opal was born in Davidson County, November 2, 1925, a daughter of the late Millard Filmore Smith and Callie Anderson Smith. She was employed with area furniture companies for over 40 years, working at Heritage, Clyde Pearson, and Lane Furniture. Opal enjoyed being with her family, antiques and yard sales. She was a member of Oakview Baptist Church. Opal was preceded in death by her husband, William Winfred Frye and eleven siblings.

Surviving is her son, Zane Frye; two sisters, Mary Lou Thomas and Rose Lee Mobley and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Opal’s life will be held January 23, 2024 at 1 p.m. at Oakview Baptist Church. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s or the Gideon’s.
