High Point- Marion Hampton Leonard, 94, passed away on Thursday, February 4, 2016, at the Meridian Center in High Point. Ms. Leonard was born on May 14, 1921, the daughter of the late William and Laura Thompson Leonard.
She was previously employed at JC Penny Co. and was a long-time member of Wesley Memorial United Methodist Church.
Ms. Leonard is survived by her sisters Rachel Garner & husband Bill Garner and Wilma Ellington; nieces Jane Garner, Laura Jean Russ & husband Richard Russ; nephews David Garner & wife G’Anzie Garner, Bill Malpass & wife Shirley Malpass, Stephen Ellington & wife Cindy Ellington. She was predeceased by a sister Christine Malpass.
Funeral services for Ms. Leonard will be on Thursday, February 11, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Ave, High Point, NC, officiated by the Rev. Jared Stine. The family will receive friends before the service from 1:00 to 2:00. Burial will follow at Floral Garden Memorial Park.
