A Celebration of Margaret’s life will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, September 20, 2018, in the Chapel of First United Methodist Church in High Point with Rev. John Fitzgerald. Visitation will be at Sechrest Funeral Service in High Point on Wednesday, September 19, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 PM.
Margaret was born January 19, 1926 in Monongalia County, WV., to the late Benjamin Reeder and Angie Friend Reeder. On May 28, 1949, she married her husband Charles Berkley Ferguson, who precedes her in death. A resident of High Point for sixty five years, she retired as fabric inventory manager from Schoonbeck Furniture. Margaret was a volunteer at Hospice of the Piedmont as well as being very active in her church. She worked with the Parsons Table to help raise money for her church. Her family would say, “She was the ultimate mother.”
In addition to her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by her brother, Charles Reeder. Surviving are her brothers Jim Reeder, Bill Reeder, sisters Louise Seeton, Carolyn Greiner, her sons, Steve Ferguson and wife Fredean of Kernersville, Jim Ferguson and wife Kristin of Raleigh, and Ben Ferguson and wife Susi of Rettenberg-Freidorf, Germany; Nine grandchildren Allen, Josi, Michael, Nadia, Stephen, Angie, Dylan, Nikolas, and Andrea; three great grandchildren Shea, Matthew, and Zoey; and three great-great grandchildren Avery, Gavin, and Tori.
