John "Jack" Hardin Marsh

Mr. Marsh was born in High Point on September 9, 1946 to Howard Darnaby and Katherine Hardin Marsh. He graduated from High Point Central High School and attended High Point University. Jack served his country during Vietnam in the U. S. Navy. He was associated with Lane Furniture and Baker Furniture as well as the fabric manufacturing company, Brunswick and Fils. Jack was an active participant in the Sedgefield Hunt Club and was an official in area steeple chase events and formerly announced regional polo matches. He was an active member of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church where he served as an Usher and as a member of the Brotherhood of St. Andrews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Virginia Hardin Marsh.

Surviving are his twin sister: Margaret “Jane” Marsh of Greensboro, and his sister, Katherine Montgomery and husband Ray of High Point and one brother, Howard Marsh, Jr. and wife Sally of Greensboro.

A Memorial Service will be conducted Friday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Mary’s Episcopal Church with the Reverend David Umphlett officiating. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.

The family will receive friends in the Parish Hall following the service.
