Hazel Ruth Breedlove Thomas, 85 passed away on Friday, May 22, 2020. She was born on April 28, 1935 in Guilford County, NC to the late John William and Laura Cruthis Breedlove.

Hazel was an avid gardener who loved being outdoors with her flowers and cherished her cats. And of course she cherished all her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren as well.

Hazel is preceded in death by her parents; and beloved husband, Lowell Thomas.

Hazel is survived by her daughters, Debra Lewallen and Patti Bitner; sons, Bob Thomas Jr. and wife Vickie, and Keith Thomas; grandchildren, Julie Kennedy and husband Tommy, Michael Lewallen and wife Becky, John Lewallen and wife Crystal, Keith Newton, Bobby Thomas and wife Gloria, Amanda Henry and husband Joe, and Cristen Thomas; as well as her 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

A funeral service for Hazel will take place on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Sechrest Funeral Service of High Point at 2:00pm; Chaplain Roland Cavanaugh officiating. Visitation will be an hour prior to services. Burial will take place following funeral services at Carolina Biblical Gardens of Jamestown.
