Glenda Ludwig Ahmed, age 63 passed away Sept 4th in High Point. She was born in Rowan County on August 30, 1950 to David Glenn and Bessie Jarvis Ludwig. She was a 1969 graduate of North Rowan High School.
Mrs. Ahmed moved to High Point in 1995 and was employed with Lexington Furniture Industries for 25 years. She was of the Methodist faith and had previously served as Volunteer with the High Point Theatre and the High Point Furniture Market.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law; Brad and Gretchen Shoaf of High Point and two grandsons; Alston and Colton. She is also survived by her first husband, Archie E. Shoaf of Lexington; two brothers; Coy Ludwig of Syracuse, NY and Larry Ludwig of Mooresville. Mrs. Ahmed also leaves a very special friend, Masoud Daftari, and other special friends Vicky Khan, and Gayle Keys and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. in the Lick Creek Baptist Church Cemetery near Denton, NC. The family will speak with friends in the fellowship hall after the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you bring a canned food donation, which will be given to the homeless shelter.
