Elizabeth “Beth” Coggins Key, 36, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Forsyth Medical Center. Beth was born in High Point, October 31, 1977, a daughter of Johnie Coggins,, Jr. and Georgia “Gigi”Embler Coggins. Beth worked at Key Risk Insurance for many years and loved playing bingo. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Key, her maternal grandmother, Ruth Voncannon Embler, her paternal grandfather, Johnie Coggins, Sr. a step-brother, Jeffrey Boan, and a cousin, Kevin Embler. Surviving are two sons, Tyler Key and Carson Pressley; her mother, Gigi Frye and step-father Jimmy; father, Johnie Coggins, Jr. and wife Eva; a sister, Christy Frye; mother in law, Audrey Key Miller and her husband Carl; maternal grandfather, Carlos Embler; paternal grandmother, Virginia Martin Floyd; great-aunt, Ruby Martin Rycroft; best friend, Michele Freedle Southern; and numerous other extended family members. A graveside service will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Floral Garden Memorial Park Cemetery by Pastor Tim Huffman. The family will receive friends at Davis Funerals and Cremations Tuesday from 7 until 9 p.m. Memorials may be directed to American Heart Association.
