Charles Roland Butler Sr.

Charles Roland Butler, Sr. 68, of Trinity, NC passed away Tuesday, August 12, 2014. Born in Alabama to Clarence and Mary Butler. He did much traveling with his career, but lived most of his life in Trinity, NC.

Charles was a USMC Vietnam Veteran. He enjoyed gardening, Nascar, westerns and time shared with grandchildren. He is survived by Carolyn Bulter, wife of 44 years. Their three children, Charles Butler, Jr. and wife Vicki of Trinity, William Butler and wife Misty of High Point, Shannon Flynn and husband David of Greenville, NC. His sisters, Nadine Drake and husband Ronnie of Trinity, and Mavies Moore of Kinston, three brothers, Clarence Butler, Jr. of Trinity, Bill Butler of Alabama and Robert Butler and wife Carol of Michigan. Charles leaves behind 15 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

Family will receive friends Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 5-7pm with a Celebration of Life 7pm at Sechrest Funeral Service, 1301 E. Lexington Ave. High Point, NC 27262. Memorials made in Charles’s name to Friendly Gospel Baptist Church, 212 Commercial Park Drive, Thomasville, NC 27360.
