Arthur "Art" Elliott Yow, 64, unexpectedly passed away on Monday, April 21, 2025.
Art was born in Greensboro, August 1, 1960, a son of the late Albert Ernest Yow and Sarah Amick Yow. He graduated from Western Guilford High School in 1978. Following high school, he joined the U.S. Army for three years. Upon leaving the Army, he became a pipe fitter and worked for Associated Sprinkler for the majority of his career.
Art was known for his love of sports, including NASCAR, hockey, and animals.
Art is survived by his twin brother, Edward Yow (Catherine), with whom he shared a lifelong bond; his sister, Louise Yow Snyder (Jimmie), brothers, Jim Yow (Devon), and Don Yow; nephew, Chris Snyder (Amanda), Charlie Gundaker (April) and Jason Gundaker (Libbi); a niece, Sara Yow; great-nephew, Grayson Snyder and a great-niece, Amelia Snyder.
A graveside service will be held at Floral Garden Park Cemetery, 1730 W. English Rd., High Point, NC on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 11 a.m. by Pastor Jim Newsome. The family will receive friends at Lebanon Methodist Church, 237 Idol St., High Point, NC following the graveside until 2 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the charity of the donor's choice.
