William was born December 31, 1929 in Catawba Co. to the late Fate McCoy and Grace Luanna Burns Teague. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Beard, Edith Deaton and Sue Lowman and a brother, Billy Teague.
He was a member of First Baptist Church of Icard, a member of American Legion Post #16, a member of Catawba Valley Zodiac Club and retired after 24 years as a Tech Sgt. in the Air Force having served in the Korean War and Viet Nam Conflict. He served in eight different countries. Paul owned and operated the Hickory 66 Service Station on Hwy 70 for 32 years.
Surviving are his daughters; Amelia Peacock and husband, Josh, of Icard, Perri Danielle Teague and fiancé, Zach Pritchard, of Hickory and Pamela Elliott of Hildebran; son, William Paul Teague, Jr. of Lincolnton; step daughter, Amber Winebarger; former wife, Robin Teague, of Hickory; special friend, Doris Hull, of Hickory; grandchildren, Jaden Scott Peacock, Prayleigh Faith Peacock and Thomas Elliott; sister, Jean Pitts, of Hickory and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, August 11, at 3:00 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by Shaw Air Force Base.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:45 P. M. at Hickory Funeral Home.
